2026 Outdoor Season
This Outdoor Season the U9(2017, 2018) program will be mixed gender groups.
Players are in the FUNdamentals Stage. While still emphasizing fun, players now start to learn the value of communication, teamwork and problem solving. Individual skill development will continue to be a priority in training and players are encouraged to continue to experiment with the game.
The Grassroots Coordinator will support the JR Coaches and parent volunteer Coaches by providing training activities to ensure that all players are provided the same opportunities to develop and enjoy the game, while following Long Term Player Development.
Training night consists of station rotation activities designed by the Grassroots Coordinator, based on Long Term Player Development Models and standards. These training sessions are led by trained and screened JR Coaches and parent volunteer Coaches.
Game night will consist of 3, 10-minute games 5v5 (4v4 plus keeper) on a third of the pitch and will have a game manager, mange the game. Based on Grassroots match standards, teams (or groups) will be selected at the beginning of each game night based on the available players that are present; fixed team rosters for this season will not be used.
The season will run from May to June and play will be 2 days per week for 45-60 minutes and will take place at TBD
